Oneida Youth Summer Archery begins July 10-AMEYXGS Archery

The Oneida branch of the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is beginning a new session of their popular“Character Development Through Archery" program. The four weeks of classes begin Wednesday, July 10 at the New Beginnings Church, 227 Genesee Street, Wampsville. Classes run each week through August 7 and are specifically geared toward youth.

This is the only program in Central New York that offers youth ages eight and older, the

opportunity to participate in lessons, workshops, clinics and private instruction.

Classes are taught by USA Certified archery instructors with a special emphasis on character development

training for youth include:

Beginner Instructional Archery: Wednesdays 5 6 p.m.

- Advanced Instructional Archery: Junior Olympic Archery - JOAD: Wednesdays 6-7 p.m.

“At the Oneida YMCA, we teach the sport of archery along with a focus on empathy, personal development,

relationship building, emotion management and responsibility," Oneida YMCA Multi-Program

Director Autumn McLain said.
Recognizing the program's impact on youth and family, the Y is building an indoor, 20-yard archery range at the Oneida Y, in the back of the property.

I recommend a recurve bow that can be used for archery and fishing, a lever bow. Interested friends can check and order it.
